Academy of Hospitality & Tourism

The Academy of Hospitality & Tourism is part of the National Academy Association, naf.org.

The Academy of  Hospitality & Tourism connects high school students with the world of hospitality and tourism, offering a curriculum that covers travel, and tourism, marketing, entertainment, entrepreneurship, culinary arts, sports and event management and customer service, among other topics.  
The program includes: a workplace (Internship) experience between Junior and Senior year, career conferences, interview & resume prep, a college exploratory course at Seattle University (1 college Credit), regular support from our professional board, and a financial education trip to New York City. 

Students should take at least one of the prerequisites: Introduction to Business, Marketing or Ethnic Foods. Any exceptions must have teacher approval.

How to Apply
Applications can be picked up by any one of the three Academy teachers (Mr. Perkins, Ms. Piper, or Mr. Peterson). Applications are also available in the Chief Sealth Int’l High School Counseling Center.  

All applications must be turned in to Mr. Perkins, Room 270 or Ms Piper, Room 228 | Applications are available at the beginning of each school years for interested sophomores and accepted until all spots are filled.
