Need to learn how to Focus? Come join the Active Minds Club and their special guests to learn about Mindful Meditation. Next Thursday February 26th  in room #241 during study hall. Mindful Meditation is a skill anyone can learn to help with focus and relaxation. See you all there! We are less than two weeks away from the Washington State Global Issues Network Conference! Chief Sealth International will be hosting 150 students from around the region on Friday, March 6th and Saturday, March 7th. Students who attend the conference will listen top dynamic keynote speakers and will lead workshops for their peers. We need a lot of student volunteers to make this conference a success. Hello Seahawks! Chinese New Year is coming up! On February 26, Chinese 4 and 5 students  will be hosting a Lunar New Year festival sponsored by Confucius Institute of the State of Washington. Everyone is welcome! The festival will be held in the Chinese room, room 222, and will last from 11:15am (start of first lunch) to 1:28pm (end of 2nd lunch). Hope to see you there! “Attention Sophomores: This is the final week to complete your University of Washington Math Science Upward Bound Application! If you are a Sophomore interested in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and want to go to college, don’t delay. Join MSUB for summer classes at UW, tutoring, and help getting into and paying for college. Applications are due to the Counselling Office by Friday, Feb. 27th. If you are a 9th or 10th grader who would like help as you prepare for college from a nationally recognized college prep program with over 31 years of experience and success, please pick up a University of Washington Upward Bound application in the counseling office. The deadline to apply is February 27, 2015 but early submission of your application is encouraged. UW Upward Bound helps students prepare for ALL college degrees and potential career paths. Are participating in a travel program this summer? Thanks to a generous donation, we are opening a second round of Travel Grants for Chief Sealth International students. You can download the application from the Global Programs page on the Chief Sealth International website. Completed applications are due to Mr. Zeichner in room 235 on Wednesday, March 11.
