- Family Health
This class will include topics in nutrition, health and wellness, growth and development, global, mental, community, and reproductive health, health risks, fitness, and safety. IB
- Sports, Exercise, Health Science
The course incorporates the traditional disciplines of Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics, Psychology and Nutrition. Students will undertake practical (experimental) investigations in both laboratory and field settings.
- Sports Medicine 1 & 2
This course provides high school students with a general overview of athletic training and sports medicine and its history. It includes introductory information about the athletic trainer’s scope of practice: injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, emergency injury management, and administrative functions.
- Nutrition and Wellness
Students will learn how to cook delicious, yet healthy meals occasionally throughout the semester. Students will also learn about how diet affects all aspects of their life.
- Child Development
An introduction to developmental psychology, exploring the different stages of human life and the biological, psychological and social changes occurring in individuals during them.
- Independent Living
Students begin to make decisions about living on their own. Topics include issues such as relationships, buying a car, domestic violence, money management, credit cards, investments, insurance, housing, and how to get a job.
- Career Essential
Students explore careers through projects, job shadows, and guest speakers. Life and employment skills will be taught to prepare students for life after high school.
- IB Psychology
This course examines the interaction of biological, cognitive and sociocultural influences on human behavior, it is well placed in group 3, individuals and societies.
- Worksite Learning Internship
Students can earn .5 CTE credits for work-site learning. Gain real-life work experience in the area you are interested in studying.
