Changemakers in Computing is a free, in‑person summer program designed for juniors or seniors in Fall 2026 and who have little to no prior experience in computing. It runs July 6-30, 2026 (Monday–Thursday) on the UW Seattle campus (housing not provided). Students explore web development (JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) while also engaging in hands-on projects, collaboration with peers, and workshops focused on college planning and career readiness. Students receive a $1200 stipend, breakfast, and lunch.

UW Nurse Camp runs July 17-21 and is a free week-long camp geared towards increasing access and opportunities in nursing to a more diverse population of high school students. Sophomores and juniors who are at least 16 years of age before the first day of camp are eligible.

Summer 2026 SPS Career Quest internship applications are now open! These 2-4 week classes offer students the chance to gain work experience or complete a career intensive while earning money (hourly pay, stipend check, and gift card).

Open Studio Summer Intensive
A free, week-long program (August 7 – 14) to take a deeper dive into the design process including group work, individualized feedback and field trips!

For 4 weeks (July 27-August 21), tour construction sites, attend team meetings and work in a professional architecture environment, and build your portfolio!

Join UW’s Radiology High School Immersion Program and discover medicine through exposure to radiology (medical imaging)!
When: The sessions run June 22-26, OR July 20-24, OR August 24-28.
Where: UW Medical Center – Montlake, 1959 Pacific Street, Seattle, WA, 98195
Why: Learn about radiology, anatomy, imaging with radiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear imaging through hands-on experiences.

Juniors! UW’s UDOC is a free 6-week hybrid (3 weeks virtual & 3 weeks in-person) FREE summer residential program held on the University of Washington campus. The program exposes students to an array of health professions and serves approximately 30 students per summer. Do you have an interest in the health professions?

The Seattle Skills Center provides half-day advanced Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses in Automotive, Health Care, Design, Engineering, Construction, and more. Students who complete a year of Skills Center courses earn 3 CTE credits including credit equivalency in Math, Science, English, and Physical Education.

The Annual Seattle Association of Educational Office
Professionals (SAEOP) Scholarship is open now! They will award three $500 scholarships to graduating senior students who wish to continue their education at a 2-year, 4-year college, or vocational
school. This scholarship is open to all and is not a need based scholarship.

Rotary Club of West Seattle is now accepting applications for:
Gambriell Scholarship — named after the late Vern Gambriell, a West Seattle homebuilder, this scholarship is awarded to a student who could not otherwise attend college. The amount is variable.
Past Presidents Scholarship — $6,000 is awarded each year to a student from a non-Rotarian family who lives in West Seattle or attends a high school in the West Seattle area, or a West Seattle resident who is transferring from a two-year to a four-year college, or a West Seattle resident who recently earned a bachelor’s degree and is pursuing a higher degree.
